In today’s episode, you discover a therapy which can support patients to be really calm in the dentist chair and offers many more applications to make your life easier, more balanced and optimistic.
Join me in this interview with expert Hypnotherapist Sharon Waxkirsh to discover the many benefits of this fascinating therapy tool.
What’s in it for you:
- WHAT is hypnotherapy?
- HOW does hypnotherapy work?
- WHAT are the overall benefits?
- WHAT are the specific benefits in dentistry?
- WHY would you want to have a hypnotherapy session?
- HOW long does it take to be hypnotised?
- CAN everyone be hypnotised?
- WHAT are contraindications for hypontherapy
Imagine no sweaty hands, panic attacks, or fear of gagging, just a relaxed meeting with your dentist.
And best of all, even though you know, he must drill or maybe extract a tooth, he will not stick a needle in the gum to numb the tooth and still you won’t feel any discomfort from the treatment.
Because your dentist uses hypnotherapy.
How cool is that?
Enjoy the interview!
I look forwards to your comments.
Best wishes,
Elmar

I’ve been years trying different dentists vainly trying to find someone who could give me what I was looking for. I am 75 and was a child of the times when dentists extracted or filled nearly every tooth in your mouth. Both my brothers and I referred to the dental surgery being the torture chamber and that’s what it felt like. Drilling into the nerves in your gums and then shouting when you shrank away from the drill. Throughout my life I’ve gone from one dentist to another. I met one lovely dentist who said ‘the mouth is an orifice in the body and should be treated with the same respect
as any other orifice’. Finally I had found someone I could trust. A couple of months later he retired! After that I would alternate between going to a particular dentist, having yet more treatment with painful, foul tasting injections which I intuitively felt was not good for my body and feeling powerless and tearful throughout. Then I would go years without going. I didn’t know that if I sleep with my mouth open ( which I did) my mouth dries up and the saliva can’t do its job of killing any germs floating around. That has made a huge difference to my gums as I seal my lips so my mouth stays shut. For me, I would love to hear dentists being trained to deal with early childhood trauma and how that can be triggered in the dentist’s chair.
Dear Barbara,
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.
Your story is both moving and deeply inspiring, and I truly appreciate your openness in describing the challenges you’ve faced in finding the right care.
Your words highlight an issue that is far too common—how early dental experiences shape our perception of treatment for a lifetime. I couldn’t agree more that addressing and healing childhood trauma is crucial in transforming the way dentistry is experienced. That’s exactly why we integrate Bio-Photon Therapy into our approach, helping patients release those deep-seated fears and blocks, paving the way for a much more positive and empowering dental journey.
It’s heartening to hear that simple changes, like sealing your lips at night, have already made a big difference for you. Small shifts can create remarkable results, and I hope your journey continues to be one of healing and confidence.
Warmest regards,
Elmar
