Chewing and Your Bite

.

Chewing properly is only possible if your teeth are well-aligned and your chewing joints (Temporo-Mandibular-Joint: TMJ) function well.

The TMJ is one of the most important joints in your whole body.

If it doesn´t work as it should you might experience all sorts of pain.

From clicking sounds and limited opening which makes chewing very difficult to head aches, neck and shoulder pain and even hip problems and leg length differences.

It is important that all restorations (fillings, Inlays, crowns, bridgework….) are fitted correctly into these very delicate systems and do not cause any interference with other parts of your body.

Only if you are able to chew properly you will digest your food properly.
